Deadpool 1, 2, 6, 7, 9-11
I did not expect this to be the slog that it was. But the humor by Joe Kelly isn’t nearly as amusing as I remember (except for a few choice bits that still get by on nostalgic fondness).
Heh. Quarters. |
Ed McGuinness is the only saving grace, his take on Deadpool is still my favorite ever.
I love McGuinness' blocky musculature on Deadpool And his oval head.
The Forrest Gump issue (11) is a fun experiment in theory, but it’s just as tedious as the rest (minus a few moments):
Cut and pasting MJ dancing is a perfect way to show her insipidness. Heh, all the hair digs.

Daredevil/Deadpool Annual ‘97
A nice little adventure, with some emotional stakes at the heart of it; Kelly makes a nice retcon of Typhoid Mary’s origin, giving Matt Murdock some closure that’s been needed since the beginning of his crime fighting career.
Sidekick commiseration. |
Always up for a Tick reference. |
"We make cheese" still plays. |

Deadpool/GLI Summer Fun Spectacular 1
A complete waste of time, I don’t know why I bought this. Cut.
