Matthew Rosenberg writes funny comic books, but he combines it with a dark center that gives these stories a ton of emotional weight.  Natasha’s resurrection in Tales and Clint’s spiral into darkness in Freefall are sobering to read, and very well done.  Travel Foreman and Otto Schmidt on art duties respectively are wonderful partners for Rosenberg.  

Complete "Friend or Foe" recognition fail.

A bunch of Rosenberg humor.  I dig it.

Bears and ballerinas.

Such a real little moment.

I love this conversation.  So much character revealed in a hilarious setting.

Wonderful Schmidt storytelling.

This can only be a reference to one thing:

An amazing, heavy scene.

Rosenberg’s at that level where I’ll keep an eye out for his name on projects, but won’t buy sight unseen.
