Aaron Thor

Mighty Thor 6-7

A fill in two-parter.  Young Thor fights a Hulk-like Viking.  It’s a long-winded way of explaining how Dario Agger gets a bunch of superpowered minions (by way of Loki).  It’s completely unnecessary, but if Russell Dauterman needs a break (courtesy of Rafael Garres), go for it.

Mighty Thor 8-12

Other corporate bad guys kidnap Agger, triggering a scenario where he crash lands the flying Roxxon Island into Manhattan as a final fuck you to the world.  Thor and Roz Solomon are there to save the day.  This stuff is just plain fun.

In the standalone issue 12, Jason Aaron retcons the origin of Mjolnir to include the harnessing of a sentient galactic storm.  It’s pretty cool, I’m on board with it.  Some slick art by Frazer Irving
