Ultimate Six 1-7
Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Kraven, Electro, and Sandman take on the Ultimates and Peter Parker. (Norman Osborn considers a coerced Peter the sixth member.)
A fun enough action series, but not a lot of the character moments that make the main title shine.
By the way, what’s the point of having Joe Quesada draw the first eight pages of the mini-series, just to have Trevor Hairsine draw the rest? As good as Quesada is, it’s just a distraction, and completely unnecessary.
I literally thought, "Hairsine's looking a lot like Quesada" before I noticed the credits. |

Ultimate Spider-Man 51-59
The Black Cat steals a tablet from the Kingpin, who hires Elektra to get it back.
Heh. Catfight. |
Then Peter fights Doc Ock against the backdrop of the Spider-Man movie. (Directed by Sam Raimi and starring Tobey Maguire, naturally.) Also, Gwen discovers Peter’s alter ego, which leads to a cute little moment where the kids all flop down on a bed:
Nice job by Mark Bagley.
This is still good stuff. Not much else to say.
