Fables 46-49
“The Ballad of Rodney and June.” Two of Geppetto’s wooden creations fall in love with each other. Geppetto transforms them into humans so that they can consummate their love, then sends them on a deep undercover assignment close to Fabletown. A cute little love story with some ambiguity for the future; will they stay loyal to their Emperor, or go native and side with the society that they’ve been a part of for so long?
“Wolves.” Mowgli finds Bigby and they return to Fabletown.

Fables 52-55
The Adversary convenes a council of war to determine how to crush the Fables. Bill Willingham runs us through some fun scenarios before eschewing it all for whatever it is we’re actually going to read in the coming issues.
