Fables 36-45
Boy Blue embarks on a quest to kill the Adversary. He’s unsuccessful, but discovers that Geppetto has been the man in charge all along, and rescues the real Red Riding Hood to boot. It also turns out that this whole thing has been a recon mission for Prince Charming, who continues to prove his adeptness at the shadowy machinations that are necessary to stay one step ahead of Fabletown’s enemies.
All good questions. |
Bill Willingham and Mark Buckingham follow that arc up with “Arabian Nights.” Sinbad shows up with his posse, one of whom releases a djinn to kill all of the Western Fables. Only the impressive foresight of Frau Totenkinder averts disaster.
I forgot that Red falls for Fly. |
This title continues to kick ass. I’d read more now if it weren’t so late.
