Starman

Starman 28

A “Times Past” showing how Mikaal became the last member of his race.  Meh.

Starman 29-35

James Robinson introduces us to Bobo Benetti, then embarks on a mishmash of an arc that’s so much of a mess that it isn’t even numbered properly.  (It’s labeled as a 4-part story, but it doesn’t actually finish for another two issues.)  This iteration of Solomon Grundy dies and Robinson’s Batman is a complete dick.

He's never this overtly antagonistic to his allies.

Robinson also gives Dian and Wes a beautiful, offscreen farewell:

Tony Harris really starts lagging in art duties.  He never drew the “Times Past” stories, but now the fill-ins are coming fast and furious, often tag teaming with him on issues.  It’s a shame, and I don’t remember how much longer he stays on the title.
